Terms of Service

Last updated: September 1, 2026

Ricki · askricki.ai · Ricki Labs

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Ricki, the production workspace at askricki.ai, the Ricki mobile app, and any Ricki Labs field app such as Releases (together, the "Service"), provided by Ricki Labs ("Ricki Labs," "we," "us").

By creating an account, accepting an invite, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are joining on behalf of a production company, network, or other organization (your "Organization"), you represent that you have authority to bind that Organization.

Our Privacy Policy is part of these Terms. It names the service providers we use to run Ricki, including our AI providers.

1. The Service

Ricki is an AI-powered workspace for a production. It holds that production's information, answers questions from that information, drafts requests, documents, and messages, and keeps work moving.

Where the product shows an approve, send, or create action, nothing official happens until a person with the right role takes that action. Ricki prepares; a human decides.

Ricki is not a law firm, an accounting firm, a payroll or union system, a meal-penalty clock, or a substitute for your counsel, accountant, business affairs team, or network standards. You are responsible for what you approve.

2. AI-generated content

Much of what Ricki produces is generated by artificial intelligence: answers, briefs, drafts, scripts, interview questions, summaries, suggested people, and similar outputs ("Outputs").

  • Outputs can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or miss something a person would catch. Treat every Output as a draft until a human with the right role has reviewed it.
  • Outputs are not legal, financial, safety, or professional advice.
  • To produce Outputs, we send the relevant portions of your Customer Content to third-party AI providers, as described in the Privacy Policy. Those providers are contractually restricted from using your content to train their models.
  • We do not use your Customer Content or Outputs to train AI models.
  • Outputs may resemble Outputs produced for other customers where the underlying request is similar. Outputs are not exclusive to you.

Ricki records which actions were proposed by Ricki and which were approved by a person. That record is part of your workspace.

3. Accounts and workspaces

You need an invite or an authorized account to join a production workspace. You must give accurate information, keep your login to yourself, and use Ricki only in the role you were given. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Each person sees what their role allows. Budgets, deals, legal materials, and other restricted content are visible only to the people the workspace owner chooses.

The workspace owner is responsible for the people they invite, for assigning roles accurately, and for removing access when someone leaves the production.

You must be at least 18 to hold a Ricki account.

4. Your content

You and your Organization own the production content you put in Ricki: rundowns, scripts, schedules, requests, notes, call sheets, documents, messages, transcripts, uploaded files, and similar materials ("Customer Content"). You also own the Outputs Ricki generates for you, subject to Section 2.

You grant Ricki Labs a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, display, transmit, and back up Customer Content and Outputs solely to operate and improve the reliability of the Service for your workspace, including sending relevant portions to our AI providers. We do not sell Customer Content. We do not use it for advertising.

You represent that you have the right to put Customer Content in Ricki, including third-party material your team uploads or connects: music, talent information, sponsor assets, network materials, and reference material used for voice profiles (Section 6).

5. People data and sensitive information

Ricki stores information about the people on a production: contact details, roles, and, if your Organization chooses to collect it, travel and hotel preferences, dietary needs, and allergies.

  • Your Organization decides what to collect and who may see it. Ricki restricts "production management only" fields to the roles your workspace owner designates.
  • Your Organization is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect this information from crew and talent and for telling them how it will be used.
  • Do not put information about minors into Ricki except what a production lawfully needs, such as a guardian-signed release.
  • Do not put payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or health information beyond dietary and allergy needs into Ricki.

6. Voice profiles and reference material

Ricki can draft scripts in the style of a host or show using reference material your team provides ("Voice Profiles"). You may only provide material your Organization owns or has rights to use for this purpose: your own prior scripts, transcripts of your own productions, rehearsal recordings, and descriptive notes.

You may not upload or connect a performer's copyrighted specials, appearances on other productions, or other third-party work to build a Voice Profile. Ricki Labs makes no warranty that Outputs drafted from a Voice Profile do not infringe a third party's rights; that responsibility rests with your Organization.

7. Meeting recording and transcription

Ricki can join meetings to record and transcribe them, and can read transcripts you upload or connect.

  • You are responsible for obtaining any consent required from meeting participants before Ricki records or transcribes, including in jurisdictions that require the consent of all parties.
  • Ricki displays a visible notice when it joins a meeting. Do not disable, hide, or misrepresent that notice.
  • Do not record or transcribe a conversation you do not have the right to record.
  • Transcripts are Customer Content. Ricki reads them to answer questions and draft follow-ups; a human approves anything that leaves the workspace.

8. Releases and electronic signatures

Ricki can capture appearance, location, audience, crew, and similar releases and collect electronic signatures.

  • By signing in Ricki, the signer agrees to sign electronically and to receive a copy by email. Electronic signatures collected through the Service are intended to satisfy the U.S. ESIGN Act and applicable state law.
  • Ricki Labs is not a party to any release and does not warrant that a release is enforceable, sufficient for a given network or distributor, or appropriate for a given jurisdiction. Your Organization supplies or approves the release language. Any template we provide is a starting point, not legal advice.
  • Signed releases are stored as records, are visible to the roles your workspace owner designates, and can be exported by your Organization at any time.

9. Connected apps

If you connect Slack, Google, or another app, Ricki uses only the access you grant, for the workspace you connected, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can disconnect in Settings. Disconnecting deletes stored tokens and connection settings.

Your Organization is responsible for what your team connects and for having the right to share that content with the workspace.

10. Human control

Drafts, nudges, requests, rundown and script changes, releases, and outbound messages stay in your control. Where the product shows an approve, send, or create action, Ricki Labs is not authorizing that action. The person who clicks is.

You agree not to treat any Output or draft as final until a person with the right role has reviewed it, and to keep your own copy of any document a production cannot operate without.

11. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use Ricki for anything unlawful, or to violate a union, guild, network, or venue rule that binds you
  • Access or attempt to access another production's workspace or data
  • Attempt to make Ricki act outside your role, bypass permissions, or bypass a human approval step, including through instructions typed or pasted into the ask bar or uploaded documents
  • Probe, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service except as the law allows
  • Upload malware, or content you do not have the right to use
  • Use Ricki to send spam or unapproved communications on behalf of someone else
  • Resell or provide the Service to third parties outside your Organization

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules, after notice where reasonably practical.

12. Beta service

Ricki is in beta. During the beta:

  • Features may change, break, or be removed without notice.
  • There is no uptime commitment. Data loss is possible despite backups. Keep your own copy of any official document, including the rundown, script, and schedule.
  • We may collect usage data and ask for feedback to improve the Service.
  • The beta is confidential. Do not share screenshots, unreleased features, or non-public pricing outside your Organization without our written consent.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by Ricki Labs without restriction or compensation.

Testimonials and logos. We will not name your production, your Organization, or a network as a Ricki customer, or use its logo, without written permission from someone authorized to give it. Permission can be withdrawn on 30 days' notice for future use.

13. Fees

Workspace fees, if any, are set in a separate written agreement between Ricki Labs and the Organization that owns the workspace (for example, a Beta Agreement). Individual users are not billed unless that agreement says so.

AI usage billed to a workspace is the Organization's responsibility. Where the agreement sets a usage limit, Ricki may pause AI features when the limit is reached until the Organization approves more.

14. Confidentiality

Ricki Labs will treat Customer Content and Outputs as confidential and will not disclose them except: (a) to service providers who need them to run the Service, bound to use them only for that purpose; (b) if you ask us to; (c) if required by law, with notice to you where lawful; or (d) as permitted in the Privacy Policy.

You will not share non-public information about Ricki (unreleased features, non-public pricing, other customers' productions) except with people in your Organization who need it.

15. Data export, retention, and deletion

Your Organization can export its Customer Content, Outputs, and signed releases at any time through the Service or by request.

On termination, your Organization has 30 days to export. After that we delete Customer Content from active systems, and from routine backups within 90 days, except for records we are required by law to keep and signed releases, which we retain for the period your Organization instructs or 7 years by default.

16. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE AND ALL OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, RICKI LABS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE, OR THAT RICKI WILL CATCH EVERY MISS ON A PRODUCTION.

17. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, RICKI LABS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, MAKE-GOODS, OVERTIME, MEAL PENALTIES, MISSED DELIVERABLES, UNENFORCEABLE RELEASES, OR PRODUCTION DELAYS, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE.

Ricki Labs' total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the amounts paid to Ricki Labs for the workspace in the three months before the claim, or one hundred dollars ($100) if nothing was paid.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits. There, our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.

18. Indemnity

Your Organization will defend and indemnify Ricki Labs against claims arising from Customer Content, Voice Profile reference material, recordings made without required consent, releases collected through the Service, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent a claim is caused by Ricki Labs' willful misconduct.

19. Termination

You may stop using Ricki at any time. The workspace owner may remove users. We may suspend or close a workspace for material breach, after notice where reasonably practical, or immediately where necessary to protect the Service or other customers.

Sections 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 12 (feedback and confidentiality), 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 20 survive termination.

20. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Travis County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction, except either party may seek injunctive relief anywhere its confidential information is at risk.

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any signed agreement between Ricki Labs and your Organization are the whole agreement for the Service. If a signed agreement conflicts with these Terms, the signed agreement controls for that Organization.

We may update these Terms. The date at the top will change, and we will ask you to accept again before you continue using the Service after a material change.

Ricki Labs may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of the business. You may not assign them without our written consent.
